As we enter into an exciting new year, we’ve been toiling away behind the scenes to really bolster our business foundation to support our growth. When Becca and I decided to join together to expand Pivot Marketing, we both knew that the kind of growth we want will only be possible if we stay true to our core values and the heart of what Pivot Marketing was originally conceived from— a better, more meaningful way of integrating work and life. Those values include family-first, flexibility, integrity, hard work, support and humor.
When we first met, our many nights spent over craft beer, cheese plates, laughing about life stories, and crying over the struggles of working and parenting had provided us with an instant connection, and an alignment in our outlook in life and work. When I joined Pivot Marketing, Becca and I committed to growing the company through the lens of these values that we are most passionate about. Our goal is to cultivate a culture of talented, supported, successful, and appreciated diverse professionals doing awesome work.
We spent several late evenings and lots of back and forth distilling all of these thoughts. We wanted to be able to highlight what is most important to us as women, as professionals, as community members, and as mothers. Our Pivot mission statement would truly be our north star, always there to point us in the right direction and help us determine how we’ll build our company culture, how we’ll make team decisions, and how we’ll seek our path toward growth. But even more than that, we want this “north star” to demonstrate how we are a valuable partner to our clients— our trustworthiness, approachability, and our deep motivation to strengthen and expand our clients' businesses.
This is our Pivot mission statement. This is our north star in 2021 and beyond.
We are fiercely passionate, fiercely motivated professionals. We strive to do our best work, so that our clients can do their best work. We make digital marketing approachable and accessible, and we align strategies that are specific to our clients’ needs— we know digital marketing is not a one-size-fits-all solution. We believe in work-life integration and harmony and while we take our work and our careers seriously, we are guided by a family-first approach.
