Seasons of Change

Embracing changes and welcoming our newest team member, Darci Hart.

As we head into Fall with the Vermont leaves starting to burn bright with reds, yellows and oranges, we’re reflecting on the seasons of change that we’ve been going through as a company. Growing from a solo operation to now a team of twelve in just a few short years has provided many opportunities for change— from acquiring new clients and phasing out others, to updating our systems and processes to be more efficient and scalable, to changing spaces and places to accommodate our growing team. Even at the personal level, we’ve collectively experienced marriages, cross country moves, expanding families, and sadly even some losses along the way. As a company, and as a team, we’re catching a breath to adjust to some of these changes, knowing full well that many more are just around the corner.

And just as the company is embracing and settling in to change, so too is our newest team member, Darci Hart. Darci took a big leap of faith by “pivoting” out of her 15 year career in education to forge a completely new path. Darci joined Pivot Marketing as Digital Marketing Associate in July 2022, and she is quickly becoming an integral part of our team leveraging her deep attention to detail, her can-do attitude, her love of learning, and her newfound interest in all things digital marketing. She is thrilled that this role also allows for greater work-life integration, to be challenged in new ways, and to have opportunities for growth and learning.

In her role as an educator prior to joining Pivot Marketing, Darci worked in the Adirondacks as a high school special education teacher and as an English teacher. She spent the most recent years in her hometown teaching GED classes to adult learners. Darci deeply enjoyed her years teaching and the opportunities it afforded her to educate, help, learn from, grow with, and guide all levels of learners.

When Darci isn't tackling her mastery of the Google Ads platform and reading the latest Search Engine Journal blog posts, you’ll likely find her in the forest with her dogs and her camera. Ruthie, a Newfoundland mix, and River, a blue heeler mix, keep Darci frequenting the woods, exploring existing paths and making new trails on her family’s land. Darci delights in time spent kayaking, on home renovation and decoration projects, taking family boat rides and long dirt road drives.
