THAYER SCHOOL OF ENGINEERING
Dartmouth College
Dartmouth came to Pivot looking for more than a media vendor. They wanted a strategic sounding board—a partner who could help leadership and enrollment teams think through hard questions about growth while staying close enough to the work to execute on them.
The real challenge was connection. Dartmouth was investing in awareness and consideration, but those efforts lived in a separate conversation from applications. The opportunity was to link them to build demand intelligently at the top of the funnel while holding marketing accountable to what actually happened at the bottom, especially for domestic recruitment.

The Approach
Pivot and Dartmouth aligned early on a single philosophy: build demand broadly, then measure success where it counts. Even though Pivot's work concentrates on top-of-funnel paid media across Google Search, Meta, LinkedIn, and Google Display, performance is judged against application data, not only impressions and clicks.
Making that possible required a shared source of truth. Pivot built and maintains the Pivot 360 Dashboard, fully integrated with Dartmouth's Slate enrollment data, connecting first touch through application in one view. Leadership, enrollment, and marketing now work from the same numbers and make decisions faster.
The partnership is built to adapt. Pivot continually tests emerging platforms and new tactics, helping Dartmouth learn and adjust as student behavior shifts.
