At Pivot Marketing, we know that the best ideas don’t always happen in front of a screen. They come when we take a step back, on a trail, during a walk, or while catching our breath after a run. That’s why National Family Health & Fitness Day is more than just the last Saturday of September for us. It’s a reminder that well-being fuels creativity, collaboration, and the kind of joyful energy we bring to our clients every day.
This year, our team marked the occasion in true Pivot style: each of us finding our own way to move, recharge, and connect with what matters most.
Wendy’s Walk in the Park

Wendy celebrated the day with a peaceful walk in the park with her family. “I’m so lucky to be celebrating National Family Health and Fitness Day with my family,” Wendy said. “We got in our steps and smiled all around Boston on such a gorgeous fall morning!”
For Wendy, fitness is less about mileage and more about mindfulness. It’s taking time to notice the changing leaves, the sound of birds, and the grounding calm of nature. It’s a practice rooted in realness, reminding us that small, intentional steps can have a big impact.
Ali’s Adirondack Adventure

Ali laced up her hiking boots and headed for the Adirondacks. Surrounded by sweeping views and fresh mountain air, she embodied our value of joy; finding lightness and inspiration in the journey itself. Just like her hike, our work often means navigating new terrain, and we know the view is worth the climb.
Ant’s 10-Mile Race

Ant took on a challenge that mirrors his drive in the office: a 10-mile race. His dedication and endurance reflect Pivot’s spirit of curiosity and growth, always pushing a little further, testing limits, and proving that with persistence, big goals are achievable. This run is also a meaningful way for Ant to celebrate his own health and fitness, aligning with the spirit of National Family Health & Fitness Day. By setting an example of prioritizing well-being, he reminds us that fitness is not just about crossing a finish line but about building habits that strengthen both body and mind. His achievement is a reminder that when we care for our health, we create more energy, resilience, and balance in every area of life, including the workplace.
Katie’s Sunset Run

Katie ended the day with a run along the river walk at sunset. The timing was intentional; running at golden hour let her combine fitness with a sense of awe. For Katie, a run is more than just a way to get exercise, it’s a way to reset, reflect, and end the day on a high note. In celebrating National Family Health & Fitness Day, her evening ritual highlights how fitness can be both restorative and inspiring. It’s a reminder that caring for our health doesn’t have to be complicated; it can be as simple as carving out time to move, breathe, and find beauty in the everyday.
Anna’s Green Mountain Trek

Staying closer to home, Anna found her rhythm in Vermont’s Green Mountains. “I got out for a short walk with my partner and my dog,” Anna said. “It was a beautiful fall day and we got a lovely view of Lake Champlain!”
Her hike reflects integration: weaving together a love for the outdoors with a commitment to well-being. It’s a reminder that we don’t need to travel far to discover beauty and balance, and sometimes, it’s right in our own backyard!
Living By Our Pivot Values
All these celebrations share a common thread: a belief that taking care of ourselves makes us better teammates, better partners, and better humans. At Pivot, we build marketing strategies that connect and inspire, knowing that connection starts with ourselves.
National Family Health & Fitness Day is just one example of how we live our values beyond the office. Whether it’s through a long run, a quiet walk, or a mountain climb, we celebrate health not as a task to check off, but as an opportunity to pause, breathe, and grow together.
Here’s to more movement, more joy, and more integration between the work we do and the lives we lead.
